Ball Flashcard for Babies
A bold beach ball, round and stripey in black and white. Balls are usually a baby’s first favourite toy, so this card connects straight to play your baby already knows.
Say it together
“Ball! Round and round, ball.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
From around three months, babies love to bat at things. Hold the card within gentle reach of your baby’s hands and let them tap it — an adult always holds the card.
Quick parent note
Reaching is a big deal: it is your baby deciding to join in, not just watch. A swipe that misses is still practice, and there is no wrong way to do this.
