Cat Flashcard for Babies
A black and white cat face with pointed ears and wide eyes. Cats are familiar from storybooks and sofas, which gives you plenty to talk about in your own voice.
Say it together
“Cat! A cat says meow.”
Say it naturally, then wait. Whatever comes back — the word, the sound, a point, a giggle — is the right answer.
Try this
Say meow — softly, because babies startle easily — and see if you get a flicker of attention. Then name the ears, the eyes and the whiskers as you gently point to each one.
Quick parent note
Your voice is half the lesson. The same card said warmly, slowly and up close works better than a whole slideshow from far away.
