Caterpillar Number Writing Worksheet for Age 4
The caterpillar circles are empty — fill them with 1 to 9, in order.
The full sheet, exactly as it prints.
This page is the worksheet’s home: see the whole sheet, download it or print it, and pass it on. Solving on screen happens in the class’s own activities on the Learning Path — this page is for the table, the kitchen and the fridge door.

What your child practices.
This cousin of the Counting Caterpillar flips the job: instead of counting printed numbers, your child writes them. Filling a familiar caterpillar shape keeps the order visible — each circle holds exactly one number, and the row itself shows the sequence growing. Counting backwards afterwards (9, 8, 7) is bonus flexibility for little brains.
- Writing numerals 1 to 9 in order
- One number per circle discipline
- Counting backwards from 9
- Tracing the numeral 9
On the sheet: Write 1 to 9 on the caterpillar, then trace the 9.
The class behind it.
This worksheet belongs to Counting & Number Recognition (Class 24) on the Age 4 learning path, and the whole maths collection lives at /worksheets/maths/. One finished sheet is a full session — download it, print it, and let the fridge door be the gallery.
