Turtle Flashcard for Toddlers
The turtle, carrying its house and in no hurry whatsoever. It is the slowest card in the deck and the best teacher of the slow game: everything arrives eventually, especially turtles.
What this card plants
Explains a creature that carries its house and refuses every hurry.
Meet one for real
Meet one at a pond, pet shop window or zoo — slow looking wins.
What kids learn from it
Practises patience by example — slow things reward slow watchers.
How to print it
Two copies work — the spare survives bath-time commentary.
Grown-up tip
Say slow a few beats longer than feels natural.
Teach it, step by step
