Letter G — Giraffe.
The letters G g arrive beside a yellow giraffe — the letter with two voices, and the animal that proves the alphabet is full of surprises.
Trace G g, circle the giraffe.
This is G’s own card from the class. Pick a crayon, then trace the big letter and the little letter right on the card with your finger, a stylus or the mouse — and circle giraffe. Press Save my work when you are proud: your drawing stays here for next time.

What does G say?

“g — in giraffe it says j”
G has two sounds, and our giraffe teaches the tricky one: in giraffe, g says j. In goat, game and go it says the harder g. Both are right — giraffe simply picked the j sound.
G keeps a second sound, the hard g in goat and game. Giraffe picked the j sound — both are correct.
Giraffe stretch.
Two minutes is plenty. Follow your child’s lead and stop while it is still fun — that is the whole method.
- 01
Reach up high like a giraffe reaching leaves: j, j, giraffe!
- 02
Munch imaginary leaves with slow, chewing bites.
- 03
Walk with long stiff legs back to the sofa and rest your long neck.
