Black Flashcard for Preschoolers
Black is the color of night, tires, pandas and — on this card — a very handsome cat. Children often love black for its drama: black cats, the night sky, big black boots. This card keeps the drama friendly.
What this colour card does
Gives the deepest crayon in the tin a fast, confident name.
Colour hunt
Check the coat hooks: shoes, boots, one stripy jumper, all black today.
What kids learn from it
Contrast: black makes every other colour look louder beside it.
How to print it
Save this one for evening printing — dark colours suit the dark.
Tip for today
Do shadows count as black, or is that a grey area?
