White Flashcard for Preschoolers
White is the color of clouds, milk, snow and clean paper — the color everything starts from. On the splash card it is the quietest member of the set, and the cloud gives it a shape your child sees almost every day.
What this colour card does
Proves the palest colour is worth naming — sheets, cups and soap all qualify.
Colour hunt
Colour hunt in the linen cupboard: white everywhere, and each fold a find.
What kids learn from it
Noticing what is missing: white is every colour's day off.
How to print it
Ordinary white paper does nicely; the joke is part of it.
Tip for today
Whites look different in lamplight; try the hunt again after dark.
